As we prepare to return to campus this Monday, we officially enter the final month of the first quarter of the year 2026. This is more than just a return to the classroom; it is an opportunity to continue what we started with intentionality and grace.

Excellence in this final stretch is defined by our preparation today for tomorrow’s challenges. Whether it is the academic discipline required for upcoming mock exams or dedication to Arts and Sports, consistency remains our hallmark.

However, true success at Greensprings is never solitary. As we resume, let us lead with Empathy, supporting peers through the pressure of another school time, and maintain the Etiquette that defines our community, from the dining hall to the sports pitch, by showing up on Monday with polished habits and a collaborative spirit.

ƹapp School, the most powerful stories are often told by the families who experience our community firsthand. In this micro edition of Parent Voices, parents share, in their own words, what sets the Greensprings experience apart and how it shapes their children beyond the classroom.

Dr Oluwaseyi Adebayo

“What I love about Greensprings School is that, beyond strong academics, the school instills discipline in the children. They are taught to be respectful, confident, and grounded in good values.”

Mrs Ekong

“I’ve had three children go through Greensprings School, and I’m grateful for the foundation they received. My youngest went on to graduate with a First-Class degree from the University of East Anglia, and I strongly believe Greensprings played a big role in shaping that journey. The school equipped my children to communicate confidently, think creatively, and compete on a global stage. It also nurtured their talents, especially in music, and helped them grow into well-rounded individuals. Greensprings nurtures the total child. The curriculum goes beyond academics to include essential life skills, sports, performing arts, and ICT, everything a child needs to thrive.”

Engr. Femi Omotayo

“Being a Greensprings parent has been a very positive experience. The school is strongly future-focused. I was looking for a school that could reinforce my values in my children, and I found that the values of the school align closely with my own.”

Mr. Unobukwu

“From our very first visit, right from the school gate, I knew Greensprings was where I wanted my children to be. The level of exposure and quality of education are truly on par with global standards.”

As we bring this term and the year to a close, we pause with grateful hearts to reflect on all that has been accomplished within our Greensprings community. This has been a season of meaningful learning, shared purpose, and steady growth, and we are thankful for every student, family, and staff member who has contributed to this journey.

This term has been marked by academic, personal, and communal growth. Our students have challenged themselves, asked deeper questions, and embraced new experiences with courage and curiosity. None of this would be possible without the strong partnership between parents, teachers, and staff, working together to support each child’s development.

Celebrating 40 years of Greensprings School has offered a powerful moment to reflect with gratitude and look ahead with renewed purpose. Our roots remain strong, and our commitment to excellence, character, and holistic education continues to guide us.

Thank you for walking this journey with us and for being part of the Greensprings story. We wish our families a restful holiday season and look forward to welcoming students back for Term 2, which resumes on Monday, 12 January 2026.

Greensprings School marked a major milestone with the successful unveiling of the 3D model of its proposed Creative Arts Centre, an event that drew strong support from Parents across all our campuses, the Greensprings Alumni body, and leaders across education, government, and Nigeria’s creative industry.

The unveiling forms part of the school’s ambitious ₦5 billion fundraising campaign, aimed at delivering two transformative projects: a world-class Creative Arts Centre and a modern Olympic-sized swimming pool. Both facilities are designed to nurture young Nigerian talents and provide the infrastructure needed for excellence in arts and sports.

The event attracted notable figures from Nollywood, including Patrick Doyle and Lala Akindoju. Patrick Doyle also served as the Master of Ceremonies, lending his voice and presence to an evening that celebrated creativity, education, and long-term impact.

In a powerful show of confidence in the project’s future benefits, attendees made on-the-spot pledges totaling over ₦30 million. The immediate response underscored widespread belief in the centre’s potential to serve not only Greensprings students but the wider creative community.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Lai Koiki, Executive Director and CEO of Greensprings School, emphasized the importance of nurturing talent early and holistically. She highlighted the need for dedicated, secure spaces where children can develop academically, artistically, socially, and physically.

The Creative Arts Centre is envisioned as a cultural hub with a dedicated theatre and creative spaces that will support performances, training, and community engagement. Alongside the planned Olympic-sized swimming pool at the Anthony Campus, the projects reflect Greensprings School’s long-term vision to raise a new generation of Nigerian artists, athletes, and innovators.

With strong attendance, influential advocates, and significant funds raised at the unveiling, the 3D model presentation stands as a clear success and a promising step toward transforming Nigeria’s creative and sporting landscape.

As we mark 40 years of our school’s journey, our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy. These four decades have been a story of colour, growth, and endless possibilities, beautifully mirrored in the bright smiles, curious minds, and playful hands of our little learners.

Looking back, we’ve seen children who walked into our classrooms wide-eyed and eager, just like the little ones today who gather around tables with crayons and brushes, creating art that speaks of imagination and unity. Their handprints, proudly displayed, are more than just colors on paper; they are symbols of the countless lives touched, the dreams nurtured, and the futures shaped.

“Cheers to our great school” is more than a phrase on our walls; it is a declaration of resilience, excellence, and community. We have built not just a school, but a family. A place where learning is vibrant, where every child is seen and celebrated, and where teachers give their best with love and dedication.

To see our children today, painting, laughing, and lifting their hands in joy, is to witness the true legacy of 40 years. It is proof that education, when sown in love, blossoms in colors that never fade.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are reminded that our greatest achievement is not in the buildings we have built or the years we have counted, but in the lives we continue to inspire. The journey ahead remains as colorful as the one behind us, and together, we will continue to paint the future; one bright child at a time.

Colorful at 40, and even brighter beyond.

ƹapp, learning has never been just about textbooks and tests; it has always been about preparing for the future in ways that spark imagination and build character. For 40 years, our classrooms have been more than spaces for academic instruction; they have been vibrant communities where curiosity is nurtured, values are instilled, and children are encouraged to see themselves as part of something bigger.

This year, in celebration of our 40th anniversary, our students were asked to take on a unique challenge: write a letter to their future selves. What began as a simple activity quickly transformed into a profound journey into tomorrow.

From the classrooms came letters that brimmed with ambition, self-reflection, and joy. Some children wrote about the careers they dream of: scientists, artists, engineers, and leaders yet to emerge. Others reminded their future selves to keep good habits, to stay kind, and to hold fast to the values they are learning today. A few even added playful notes, reminding themselves to smile more, laugh often, and never lose sight of the joy in life.

Each letter carried far more than ink on paper. They held hope, resilience, and the courage to dream boldly; qualities that reflect the very heartbeat of Greensprings across four decades. These letters became both roadmaps to the future and time capsules of the present, showing us that the seeds of tomorrow’s greatness are already being sown in today’s classrooms.

As we reflect on 40 years, we are reminded that education is not only about grades or certificates; it is about shaping perspectives, nurturing character, and inspiring lifelong values. The excitement in the children’s eyes as they sealed their envelopes was a reminder that such traditions are not just activities, but memories in the making. Who knows? Perhaps in years to come, opening these letters will bring tears of joy, laughter, and deep gratitude for the journey of growth.

Greensprings at 40 is more than a milestone; it is a celebration of legacy and vision. We look back with pride at the countless students who have passed through our halls, and we look forward with confidence to the future they will shape. To our students, past, present, and future: keep dreaming, keep writing, and keep becoming the remarkable people you were always meant to be.

Your future selves, and Greensprings, are already proud.
