In a beautiful display of leadership and appreciation, Greensprings School, Lekki Campus, transformed into royal elegance on Friday, 15th May, to celebrate our Super Mums. Themed Phenomenal Women, Precious Mothers, the event was a powerful reminder that leadership begins at home and is expressed through the tireless love and strength of a mother.

Dressed in English Royal Elegance, our mothers brought their queenly glow, and stunning fascinators to a morning dedicated to honoring their impact. The celebration was more than just a social gathering; it was a space for community expression, filled with laughter, good vibes, and heartfelt tributes.

By celebrating the women who lead our families with such poise, we show our students that true excellence is found in service and consistency. It was a day for our mothers to be seen, spoiled, and celebrated; because behind every confident student voice is a phenomenal woman who first taught them how to speak their truth.

The annual music festival at Greensprings School Anthony Campus was a masterclass in creative growth. This Year was titled Echoes of Melody, featuring a special performance by the legendary Yinka Davies. From the synchronized harmonies of the preschool choir to the sophisticated execution of the secondary orchestra, the event showcased a remarkable artistic depth.

As highlighted by Mrs. Anuoluwapo Adeyemi, early talent development builds permanent cognitive frameworks, sharpens emotional intelligence, and instills a bedrock of discipline. This brilliance was the result of months of rigorous preparation, with students balancing demanding academic schedules with unrelenting rehearsals.

Music instructors Mr. Adewale Kuye and the Elementary Music team noted that the process taught vital life lessons in accountability and teamwork. Through this intensive journey, our students have not only mastered their instruments but have ignited skills that empower them for lifelong excellence. Their journey proves that an orchestra only sounds whole when every section supports the other.

If there is one thing we learned this May, it is that leadership is about having the courage to step onto the board; even when your opponent is a world record holder.

During our ManUp celebration at the Anthony Campus, we didn’t just listen to stories of resilience; we lived them. A group of six of our fellow students stepped up for a friendly but intense game of chess against none other than Tunde Onakoya.

Watching our peers face a visionary leader was a masterclass in excellence and expression. It wasn’t just about the moves they made on the board; it was about the confidence in their moves and the strategic maturity they showed under pressure. They proved that when students are given a platform, they don’t just participate, they get to lead.

This moment reminded us all that the power of a student’s voice isn’t just found in a speech, but also in the quiet discipline of a chess match and the boldness to challenge greatness. Whether in the class, on the pitch or across a chessboard, we are finding our voices and defining what it means to be the leaders of tomorrow.

If you look closely at our classroom, you will see the vibrant spark of student voice and responsibility taking center stage. This month, our young learners took complete ownership of their environment, transforming ordinary desks into dynamic hubs of collaboration, debate, and discovery.

Whether leaning in to carefully guide a peer through a complex math problem or stepping up to direct a group task, these students are proving that leadership isn’t about a title; it is an active choice.

By taking charge of their own learning pathways, they are practicing the essential social-emotional skills of empathy, accountability, and adaptive communication. We are incredibly proud to watch them confidently express their ideas, challenge one another respectfully, and build a creative, student-led community every single day.

Keep shining, future leaders!

Greensprings School celebrated the International Day of the Boy Child across its Anthony & Ikoyi campuses, emphasizing that leadership and expression begins with character. Centered around Courage, Character, and Compassion, the event empowered our boys to see leadership as a blend of responsibility and empathy.

The power of student expression was on full display as guest speaker at the Ikoyi Campus, Mr. Ayoola Adeola led a session that sparked a reflective Q&A from the students. Our Year 6 boys stood tall, confidently sharing their aspirations and future goals. Adding to the day’s inspiration, the Anthony Campus simultaneously hosted world-record breaker and visionary leader Tunde Onakoya. His presence served as a living example of how one voice and a creative vision can spark global change.

By connecting our students with such impactful role models, we continue to prove that leadership isn’t about a title; it’s about the courage to express your values and the responsibility to lift others up. Our boys left the celebration not just with badges, but with the drive to become the leaders of tomorrow.

In honour of World Down Syndrome Day and our “Rock Your Socks” day, this month’s win is about moving beyond the colourful socks to the heart of the matter: Inclusivity.

Innovation thrives in environments where people feel safe to be different. You can foster this at home in just five minutes:

  1. Discuss how a specific difference is actually a “Superpower.” For example, if a child thinks differently or has a unique hobby, explain how that perspective helps them solve problems others might miss.
  2. Reiterate that just as a pair of mismatched socks still performs the same job perfectly, people with different abilities or backgrounds contribute equally to our community.

You’re not just teaching tolerance; you’re teaching your child to value diversity as a prerequisite for innovation. By celebrating inclusivity, you build a foundation of empathy and self-confidence that lasts far longer than a pair of socks.

Wondering what to look out for in April? Sit back and read through

The Greensprings Football Camp 2026 is back in April!

We are excited to announce the 12th edition of the Greensprings Football Camp from April 26th to May 1st, 2026. This year, we continue our mission to raise Wonderkids through a world-class footballing experience designed for children who are truly serious about the game.

Registration is officially open to children aged 5 to 17. To begin the registration process, visit the Registration .Ìý

This year, we are also doing something special: as part of our One Child, One Opportunity community initiative, we are inviting parents to sponsor a child from their neighbourhood, church, estate, or local team to attend the camp.Ìý

For many of these children, this will be their first experience of professional coaching, structured mentorship, and the kind of environment that builds confidence and character. Some parents are already coming together in small groups to sponsor one child, so no one has to do it alone.

If you would like to participate or support, please click . Let’s raise the next generation of wonderkids together.

Ever wondered how a sea of colorful socks ends up in our hallways? The Learning Support Department at Greensprings School spent weeks meticulously planning assemblies and classroom visits to ensure “Rock Your Socks Day”, in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day, was more than just a fashion statement.Ìý

From curating informative videos to sensitizing staff on the nuances of Down Syndrome, the goal was to move beyond awareness toward genuine Inclusivity.

The atmosphere turned electric as students and staff donned mismatched socks, a simple yet powerful symbol of inclusion that perfectly aligns with our values of empathy and inclusivity. Beyond the fashion statement, the day was rooted in education; the team shared insightful presentations and visited classrooms to foster a deeper understanding of those living with Down syndrome.Ìý

Through music, laughter, and shared stories, we proved that innovation in education isn’t just about technology; it’s about creating a space where every individual is celebrated for their unique perspective.
